Jessie
Incorporating various dance styles including West African, Hip-Hop, Latin Rhythms, Bhangra, Haitian and Brazilian into her classes, Jessie loves to help others discover how dance is an exercise in disguise, and she finds it very rewarding to guide people through this discovery. Jessie’s high energy classes will leave you sweaty, blissful and wanting more at the end of every class! Though various forms of dance were a part of Jessie’s life growing up, she instantly fell in love dancing to drums and her journey began 10 years ago studying West African Dance. She came to discover her true calling in the uplifting and joyous dances from Guinea. In the winter of 2012 and again in 2013, she embarked on a six-week life-changing adventure and traveled to Guinea where she studied traditional dances and rhythms and experienced the simpler, more beautiful things in life.
Jessie holds a Bachelors degree in Art Education and Dance from Humboldt State University. She is currently in a teaching credential program, student teaching by day and evening classes by night. She is excited to be earning her multiple subject teaching credential and Master's in Education. Jessie is not only great with kids, but is an extraordinary fitness and dance teacher for adults as well.
